Hat & Headwear Design | Project Case Study

Amie's partnership with DeAnna Gibbons began during design school in the early aughts. Upon visiting DeAnna's millinery studio, formerly Brimming Up Millinery, in San Francisco's Mission District. DeAnna took Amie under her wing as an intern apprentice. Following graduation Amie was hired as assistant designer. DeAnna's hats were sold at Barneys New York and are featured in runway shows, at carnival, in film and on the opera stage. DeAnna Gibbons Millinery continues to take on custom commissions and teaches hat making workshops.

Role

Design input, trim design, couture hat fabrication, hand sewing, hand embellishment, graphic design of marketing materials and line sheets.
